SATURN

"The image was taken on the 19th of April between 10:09 and 10:14 pm when it was around 53 degrees high with my C9.25 scope using a UV/IR block filter and a ToUcam Pro webcam from my front yard. South is up.

The outer dimmer ring is the A ring; you can see the translucency of the A ring as the globe can be seen through it. Further in, is the dark Cassini Division and then the inner brightest ring is the B ring. Beyond the B ring is the dusky C or crepe ring."

Ed Lomeli, June 2006
